ABOUT

I grew up in Melbourne, Australia and spent most of my working life in public administration.  My husband and I live in the country outside of Canberra, where I write, animate and papercraft in my studio in the garden with my three cats. Our children are grown up and lead their own busy lives.

I find the idea of Steampunk fascinating as a world in which to set my stories. So far I have written three Della Mortika novels, Voyage to the Antipodes , The Library of Wonder and the Circus of Secrets, all published and available as paperbacks and ebooks.  I have previously written the screenplay for Dellla Mortika - The Carousel of Shame, which took out the  Yoram Gross Best Australian Animation award at Flickerfest 2019, among others.

I love inventing machines and stories that draw on innovation and invention and promote resourcefulness in my readers. 

I write for 8+ but I have many adult fans as well.
